The speakers addressed, from their areas of expertise, topics such as high-conflict separations, false allegations of family violence, acute cases of parental alienation, the consequences of this family dysfunction on the psyches of the affected children, the psychosocial repercussions of parental violence, parental alienation as parent-child abuse, the legal responsibility for impediments to contact between parents and children, the effectiveness of judicial measures of re-connection, the analysis of family violence laws and their impact on parent-child bonds, how to litigate in family violence cases, how to litigate in family violence cases, and the impact of parental alienation on parental-child bonds, legal responsibility for impediments to contact between parents and children, the effectiveness of judicial measures of re-engagement, the analysis of family violence laws and their impact on parental-child bonds, how to litigate cases of parental alienation in judicial praxis, the child's right to co-parenting, gender ideology as a driver of parental alienation, the denied evidence of parental alienation, and so on.

Dr. Mauricio Luis Mizrahi was the president of the Congress. The international coordinator was Dr. Alejandro Mendoza Amaro, the general organiser and national coordinator was Dr. Sergio Dubove and the interprovincial coordinator was Germán Mauro. The General Secretary and Treasurer was Dr. Kalanit Jalif. Special collaborators were Dr. Mercedes Ladereche and Dr. Andrés Beccar Varela.

During the event, the "Tratado de la responsabilidad parental" was presented, authored by Dr. Mauricio Luis Mizrahi, a work that will soon be published by Editorial Astrea, Buenos Aires. The presentation was made by the Family Judge, Dr. Sandra Veloso.

Registration for the Congress was free of charge, but required prior completion of a registration form. The Congress operated in a dual mode, face-to-face and virtual.

Doctor in Law and Social Sciences, former Judge of the National Civil Chamber, Consultant Professor of Family and Successions at the University of Buenos Aires. He received the first prize awarded by the National Academy of Law and Social Sciences for his book "Parental Responsibility".

William Bernet

USA

Psychiatrist, specialising in Child Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry. Evaluates children, adults and families involved in both civil and criminal legal situations. Professor emeritus, researcher and author of numerous books and articles.

Alejandro Mendoza Amaro

Mexico

Mexican researcher, international lecturer and expert on child abuse and scientific integrity. PhD in Psychology and President of Global Action for Research Integrity in Parental Alienation (GARI-PA). Author of books and articles in indexed journals, as well as peer reviewer for various journals and executive editor of the Journal of Family Procedural Law. Research Coordinator of the Dr. José Torres Orozco Psychiatric Hospital.

Philip Marcus

Israel

Philip Marcus is an Israeli jurist who, following a career as a judge and lawyer, works as a consultant, researcher, writer, and lecturer on Family Law and professional ethics. Since retiring as a judge of the Jerusalem Family Court in 2012, he has focused on promoting initiatives to protect those affected by family disputes, like children and the elderly, advocating for more humane systems and collaborating internationally.

David Alonso Ramírez Acuña

Costa Rica

PhD in Clinical and Forensic Psychology. Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. As a judicial expert, specialist in the family area, he carried out forensic psychological evaluations in foster care conflicts, separations and divorces, family interrelationship regime, adoption processes, appointment of guardian/curator, accompaniment and monitoring of protection measures, assuming roles in parental coordination; evaluation and international restitution of minors, use of Gesell camera in parent-child reunification processes. He is a postgraduate professor, director and thesis reader in Ibero-America and gives courses, seminars, workshops and conferences in Latin and South America.

Edward Kruk

Canada

Edward Kruk is Professor Emeritus of Social Work at the University of British Columbia. With over 40 years of experience in family mediation, conflict resolution, and shared parental responsibility, he has authored numerous books and articles on these topics. He currently works as a family mediator and therapist in Vancouver, Canada, and is the President of the International Council on Shared Parenting.

Maria Berenice Dias

Brazil

Lawyer specialising in homoaffective, family and inheritance law. Former Judge of the Court of Justice of Rio Grande do Sul. Postgraduate and Master's Degree in Civil Procedure. National Vice-President of IBDFAM (Brazilian Institute of Family Law). Coordinator of IBDFAM Centres in Portuguese-speaking countries. Member of the Senate Commission of Jurists, in charge of revising and updating the new Civil Code.

Sau-lyn Lee Maturana

Chile

Psychologist and PhD in Psychology from the University of Tasmania, with a Masters in Social Psychology from the University of Tarapacá. She has worked for 15 years as an academic at the university, focusing on supporting parents of pre-school and elementary school students. Her line of research, since 2016, covers issues of divorce, parental alienation and family conflict, participating in research projects on reconfiguration of parentality and parental alienation. She is a member of international research groups on parental alienation in the USA and Mexico.

Sandra Veloso

Argentina

Lawyer specialising in family law (UBA) with a diploma in Judicial Management (UdeSA). Titular Judge of the Family Court N1 of Tigre, Province of Buenos Aires. Postgraduate lecturer at UBA and other institutions. Co-author of several collective works and works in her speciality.

Silvana Verónica Giachero

Uruguay

Psychologist from the Universidad de la República Uruguay, with a postgraduate degree in Legal Psychology from the Universidad Diego Portales (Chile). She is a certified EMDR therapist, forensic expert and creator of international congresses on mobbing and bullying. She has advised the parliaments of Chile and Uruguay on these issues, and has published three books and several scientific articles. She is currently studying for a diploma in Parental Alienation at the Universidad Simón Bolívar and is a delegate for Uruguay in GARI-PA.

Criminal lawyer with 36 years of independent professional practice. Co-founder of Estudio AMA (Anzoátegui- Melloni Anzoátegui) dedicated to criminal conflicts in the family context since 1999. Co-author of the book "Hienas Abogados de Familia vs. Falsas denuncias". International Director of the Legal Action Area in Latin America for Unión Latam & Europe, La infancia Primero. President of Unión Latam in Argentina. Founder and director of the Observatorio de Falsas Denuncias (OFD).

Mariel Alejandra Guerrero

Founding lawyer of the law firm GUERRERO-SQUADRONI, specialising in the resolution of problems related to family groups. She is the legal director of the Crianza Sana Foundation, in charge of the preparation of projects and petitions, also providing judicial and extrajudicial advice to its members and interested parties.

Carlos Diaz Usandivaras

Psychiatrist, Systemic Family Therapist, and Master in Marriage and Family at the University of Navarra, Spain. He was the Founder and is currently Director of the Instituto de La Familia. He has taught at the Catholic University of La Plata, the University of Belgrano, the University of Buenos Aires and the Catholic University of Montevideo.

Ursula Basset

Professor of Family and Inheritance Law at the UCA and Austral University, where she also conducts research. Director of the Family Law Research Centre (UCA) and of the Postgraduate Course in Family Law (UCASAL). She has been a visiting professor at universities in Argentina and abroad, and a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute. She participated in the drafting of the Argentine Civil and Commercial Code and is vice-president of the International Academy of Family Law and secretary general of the Ibero-American Academy of Family Law.

Leonardo Orlando

He holds a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from Sciences Po Paris, a BA and MA in Philosophy from the Sorbonne, and a post-doctorate in Cognitive Sciences from the École normale supérieure de Paris. He has been a researcher at institutions such as CERI, IFRA-Nairobi, CONICET and universities such as Tufts, Oslo and Bratislava. He is currently Visiting Fellow at the Mathias Corvinus Collegium in Budapest, and his research focuses on biological and evolutionary approaches to political behaviour.

Rosalía Fernández Alaya

Spain

Magistrate of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas and judge since 1987, she was the first woman to be elected to a High Court of Justice in Spain. Her career focuses on Human Rights, Family Law and Mediation, with specialised training in these areas and stays in European courts. She is an expert observer at the Hague Conference and participates in several legal journals and educational programmes. She also collaborates with the Government of the Canary Islands in mediation and child welfare initiatives, combining her judicial work with teaching in multiple countries.

Mariana Gallego

Argentina

Lawyer specialised in criminal law, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 2002. With experience in the investigative courts of the Federal Capital, she then focused her career on family law, founding her own law firm 12 years ago. She currently leads a team of lawyers focused on complex civil and family law. She collaborates with an external support team of psychologists and psychiatrists, prioritising cases involving children and adolescents.

Nelson Zicavo Martínez

Master in Clinical Psychology, Dr. in Psychology. Author of several books and more than 50 articles in indexed journals on Family, Divorce, Parenthood and Parental Alienation. Mandy Matthewson

Australia

Dr. Matthewson is a senior lecturer at the University of Tasmania and a clinical psychologist. She leads the Family and Interpersonal Relationship Research Lab at UTAS and serves on the board of the Eeny Meeny Miney Mo Foundation, focusing on parental alienation awareness. Her work centers on family relationships, family violence, and psychological trauma, and she co-authored Understanding and Managing Parental Alienation. She also supervises psychology trainees.
